European Union Update
UPDATE NUMBER 11/2024/01
On 8 November 2024, the European Commission (“EC”) published the final version of the FAQs concerning Article 8 of the Taxonomy Regulation, which are intended to support financial undertakings in implementing the relevant regulations. In this respect, reference should be made to the Circular issued by the MFSA on 17 January 2024.
On 13 November 2024, the EC published the final version of the FAQs concerning the implementation of the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Rules, to offer market participants greater clarity and guidance on implementing legal requirements arising from emerging areas related to sustainability, particularly the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the Sustainable Finance Disclosures Regulation. In this respect, reference should be made to the Circular issued by the MFSA on 14 August 2024.
