We are pleased to share that Andrew Grech has contributed his article, titled “Exclusive Electronic Certificates and Commercial Yacht Code 2025: Malta’s Latest Maritime Developments”, to the 17th edition of the AIJA Transport & Logistics Law Commission Newsletter, published today. In his contribution, Andrew examines Malta’s recent move to issue statutory vessel certificates exclusively in electronic format as well as the launch of the 2025 Commercial Yacht Code, which introduces updated rules on navigation notations, safety standards, and environmental performance, reinforcing Malta’s position as a leading and forward-looking maritime jurisdiction.
