David Zahra attended the 49th Alliance of Business Lawyers (ABL) Conference held between 24th and 27th September 2025 at the Swissôtel The Bosphorus in Istanbul, Turkey.
The conference gathered more than 50 delegates from across the globe to explore pressing developments in law and business. This year’s programme placed particular focus on constitutional law challenges in Turkey as well as the transformative role of artificial intelligence in legal practice.
Prof. Ibrahim Ozden Kaboglu, President of the Istanbul Bar Association, opened the academic sessions with a keynote address on the Turkey’s constitutional agenda, setting the tone for thought-provoking discussions that followed. Assoc. Prof. Murat Sevinc continued this theme with his exploration of Turkey’s constitutional journey, providing valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities faced in contemporary constitutional law.
Artificial intelligence was another recurring theme throughout the conference with the attendees participating in an interesting workshop on the implementation of AI strategies in law firms.
Beyond the sessions, the conference also provided an excellent platform for strengthening ties between member firms and building new connections within the ABL network.
