David Zahra & Associates Advocates recently hosted its first exclusive information session in collaboration with Surge Advisory, titled “Mind the Gap – Pay Transparency in Practice.”
The EU’s new Pay Transparency Directive is aimed at closing the gender pay gap through greater pay transparency and accountability and is due to be transposed into Maltese Law by June 2026.
The event brought together professionals and business leaders to explore the practical steps required to bridge existing gaps.
Dr. Krista Ellul of David Zahra & Associates Advocates provided an overview of the EU Pay Transparency Directive, elaborating on the core principles and legal obligations surrounding equal pay and pay structures. Meanwhile, Maria Bartolo Zahra discussed practical strategies for job analysis and evaluation.
Following the presentations, attendees participated in an informal networking session over a light breakfast spread. The relaxed atmosphere encouraged open dialogue and the exchange of practical insights among professionals from various industries.
This event marks the beginning of a series of focused discussions that the firm plans to host in the future, aimed at providing clients and peers with valuable legal and strategic insights in an accessible and engaging format.
