On 21 November, the David Zahra & Associates Advocates team stepped away from day-to-day work to focus on something equally important: strengthening how we operate, support each other, and navigate a rapidly evolving professional landscape.
The full-day programme brought together experts in compliance, wellbeing, cyber security, and strategic thinking—each offering fresh perspectives that sparked discussion and reflection across the firm.
Dr Christine Bezzina from Etika Services opened the day by demystifying key aspects of our Compliance Manual. Her clear, pragmatic approach helped reinforce our shared responsibilities and ensure that our internal processes continue to reflect best practice.
Wellbeing took centre stage in the next session, led by nutrition coach and fitness instructor Faye Zammit, who provided practical, sustainable tips for healthier routines—reminding us that supporting our people also means promoting balance, energy, and resilience.
Cyber security has become an essential part of everyday professional life, and Sergeant Matthew Sacco from the Malta Police Force’s Cyber Crime Unit underscored this with real-world insights into today’s digital risks. His guidance on safeguarding sensitive information was a timely reminder of the importance of constant vigilance.
The day concluded with strategic reflections from Joseph F. X. Zahra from SurgeAdvisory, who explored how organisations can remain agile and relevant in a fast-changing environment. His forward-looking perspective encouraged us to think boldly about innovation and long-term direction.
Bringing these diverse themes together—compliance, wellbeing, cyber awareness, and strategy—created a valuable space for learning and connection. We are grateful to all our speakers and team members for contributing to a day that strengthens both our practice and our culture.
At David Zahra & Associates Advocates, we remain committed to nurturing a workplace where continuous learning, wellbeing, and adaptability are part of who we are.
