Over the past year, health and wellbeing were a key focus across the firm. In a profession defined by deadlines, long hours, and constant problem-solving, we made a conscious effort to pause, reset, and invest in our physical and mental wellbeing.
We kicked off the year’s wellness activities in March 2025 by swapping our desks for padel rackets and hitting the paddle court. It was a refreshing change of pace that combined movement, teamwork, and a lot of laughter. Beginners were guided through a hands-on tutorial to learn the basics of padel, while more experienced players took part in a friendly mini-tournament.
We also invited physiotherapist Sue Hampton from The Physio Factory, who guided the team through the basics of workplace ergonomics and the impact poor ergonomics can have on our bodies. Sue demonstrated how to correctly set up our workstations and shared simple, practical exercises we can easily do while working. The session served as a helpful reminder of the importance of maintaining healthy ergonomic practices at our desks.
In June 2025, we turned up both the intensity and the music with a high-energy spinning class at Drive Spinning Studio. With motivating beats, fast-spinning legs, and plenty of encouragement, the class was a real team effort.
Lastly, wellness isn’t only about exercise, but it’s also about how we fuel ourselves everyday. That is why the firm organised a nutrition and wellness workshop led by nutrition coach and fitness instructor Faye Zammit in November 2025. The session focused on a practical and sustainable approach to healthier lunches and daily routines, recognising the realities of busy working lives. The emphasis was on small, achievable changes rather than restrictive rules, giving the team useful tools they could realistically apply long-term.
As we look ahead, we are excited to build on these foundations and continue shaping a workplace that values balance, sustainability, and growth. The year ahead will see us expand our focus beyond wellbeing alone, as we turn our attention to planning for the future, working smarter, and supporting our team with the tools, skills, and mindset needed for the years to come.
