On Wednesday 6 May, the team at David Zahra & Associates Advocates came together for a dedicated Team Development Day aimed at strengthening collaboration, encouraging professional growth, and investing in the continuous development of our people.
Held at the Verdala Wellness Hotel in Rabat, the event brought together members of the firm across all departments for a full day of insightful sessions, practical workshops, and engaging discussions focused on both professional excellence and personal development.
The programme commenced with morning refreshments, followed by a sanctions training session delivered by Alessia Carbone from the Sanctions Monitoring Board. The session focused on the SMB Newsletter concerning the revision of the National Interest (Enabling Powers) Act, highlighting the key amendments and resulting compliance considerations for legal professionals and businesses.
Later in the morning, the team participated in an interactive workshop on AI Prompt Engineering for Legal Professionals, led by Professor Alexiei Dingli, founder of Digital Brain. The workshop explored the growing role of artificial intelligence within the legal sector, offering practical insights into how legal practitioners can effectively utilise AI tools to enhance efficiency, research capabilities, and client service while maintaining professional standards and ethical considerations.
Following a networking lunch, the afternoon continued with a session on Money Management presented by Matthew Borg. The discussion focused on financial wellbeing, planning, and practical approaches to managing personal finances, reinforcing the importance of maintaining balance both inside and outside the workplace.
The day concluded with a presentation on Resident Agent obligations by Andrew Grech, providing further professional insight into an important area of regulatory and corporate practice.
