Emma joined David Zahra and Associates Advocates as a Legal Trainee in 2019 and is now an Associate within the Firm.
Her practice is principally focused on corporate and commercial law, with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations and restructurings, and corporate governance. Emma advises local and international clients, including family-owned businesses and international groups, on both transactional and ongoing corporate advisory matters. She also regularly advises on cross-border transactions.
Emma also regularly advises clients on a range of employment law matters.
Emma is a member of the Malta Chamber of Advocates and the International Association for Young Lawyers (AIJA). Within AIJA, she is a member of the Corporate M&A Commission and the AIJA Women’s Network.
Emma joined David Zahra and Associates Advocates as a Legal Trainee in 2019 and has since been promoted to an Associate within the Firm. Throughout her practice at the firm, Emma has acquired experience in various practice areas ranging from Commercial law, Corporate M&A and Restructurings, Employment law and Anti-Money Laundering law.
Emma intends on furthering her professional career principally in the area of Corporate law.
Emma is a member of the Malta Chamber of Advocates and the International Association for Young Lawyers.
Emma obtained a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from the University of Malta in 2019. As part of her undergraduate studies, she spent a semester at Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius, Lithuania, through the Erasmus exchange programme.
She subsequently obtained a Master of Advocacy from the University of Malta in 2020 and was admitted to the Maltese Bar in March 2021.
In 2024, Emma completed the GDPR Ready Professional (CIPP/E + CIPM) course.
Outside her legal practice, Emma has a longstanding passion for dance and enjoys travelling and discovering new places and cultures.
